Security Guard Training: 10 Codes
Security Guard 10 Codes
Professional Security Guards use the APCO (Association of Public Safety Communication) 10 Codes. It is a radio communication system for Security Guards or other public safety sector workers to discreetly share information while keeping the conversation coded and ensuring privacy.
Once you have received your Security Guard license and a Security Guard job and are working in the field for a Security Agency, you will have to get used to radio communications. The 10 Codes are very efficient and cut down on the chances on miscommunicating information. Most companies that offer Security Guard Training will have a class or exercise to introduce you to the 10 Codes system.
At https://securityguardcourse.ca we offer this 10 Codes Lesson as part of the Ontario Security Training Course.
You can also view the codes on the MCSCS (Ministry of Community Safety and Correctional Services) website here: Security Guard 10 Codes
Every Ontario Security Guard should commit at least the most used 10 Codes to memory. This is an excellent way to continue your security guard training in the field.
